Silver Eagle—Beyond Epos

The Carpe Diem chain of fine dining restaurants appointed us to install their first Silver Eagle system in October 2006. What particularly impressed them was the way our screens and tills could be customised to harmonise with their décor and lighting schemes.

Another feature they appreciate is the scalability. They wanted the ability to add more restaurants as time goes on, plus a centralised management system to co-ordinate a whole chain of establishments. Within each restaurant they also liked the fact that they can easily add more tills, kitchen displays, and different functionality, as their needs evolve. As the chain develops, Carpe Diem are going through an exciting time—but they know whatever direction they take our system has the flexibility and functionality to give the support they need.

They also asked us to design a customised system that not only handles staff clock-in and clock-out, but contains every employee’s bank details, National Insurance details, rate of pay, and everything else required for the easy management of the payroll. These details are generated in multiple formats including CSV files that they export directly in to their payroll and accounts packages. Additionally, in line with the company’s environmentally aware ethos we built hand-held units into the solution to provide paperless ordering.
