Silver Eagle Golf Team
The Silver Eagle's have been making the most of the summers weather and recording some very good results.
They started their season very late not making the first appearance until the Cotswold Edge Pro-Am. Jon Hunt, Nick Tanner and Dean Gigg had initially been dissappointed with the score they had posted only to find that the course must of been playing harder than expected as they had become club house leaders. This was the position they maintained right up to th last two groups who (in easier playing conditions) both pipped the Silver Eagles to push them back into 3rd place.
The team were then invited to represent one of their customers, The Fleece Inn, in the Three Counties Public House Golf Championhips. At a very windswept South Herefordshire Golf Club the usual team were joined by Will Gallimore. A good performance by all the team allowed them to post a score one off the leaders just to discover some poor maths by Jon who had addd the score up incorrectly. Luckily it was an under count and the Silver Eagle team had tied for first place.
There will be more tournaments to come as well as a Silver Eagle golf day. We will post results on here when possible. Also be warned as a Silver Eagle rugby sevens team is in the process of being formed and will be entering the Bournemouth 7's and Bath 7's next summer along with a few more. Check back to see what injuries have been sustained!
